Basically your'e arguing that scottish laws are just as tyrannical. But by nature a smaller government is at least less tyrannical, but the laws england imposed on scottland were bad. No I was using by today's standards purely when saying that as I'm the kind of person that tends to hate a compromise between the lesser of two evils. But you are still right Edward I was a cunt through and through in that he didn't care about 99% of anyone but himself and other nobles, and all it seemed like he knew about dealing with a rebellious people was to utterly crush them and set up a ton of expensive castles.

For once turducken has a point. I make every effort to destroy race gender and other silly social justice warriors ingam and make their lives more miserable than the disadvantaged groups they are trying to protect

it's common in Medieval times that knights upon there knighting take vows which typically include that of protecting the common folk. Hence the term chivalry. While Allot of knights never followed this vow it was still normally apart of the ceremony or at least that's how it went in the English Islands

well i feel very neutral on this topic as i think it could go both ways depending on the person and place not all medieval people were dicks to the working class but also there were plenty who were to highly positioned to even think about lower class citizens as anything more then just that working class kinda like an axe with legs or what have you which just goes to show how fucked up it was back then yet still so interesting so i like the idea of there being "white knights" and the douche bag overlords as it gives a good mix for the two too clash and start rebellions and interesting rp settings if everyone was a dick or a white knight nothing would happen we would all be sitting around watching peasant hit rocks with sticks .-.

Well, the reason the medieval times were really the dark ages and why we have so many myths now of days is because... well, imagine this.
You're a peasant, born on the Lord's land, grown up with no education other than to work the land. You are told stories of how giant monsters hide in the woods. You realize the woods are just about everywhere the Lord's fief isn't. You're told there's bad people who rob those who leave the Lord's fief. You're told you should pay your due to your community. You're told there's no hope in rebelling, this is the natural order of things. You're an uneducated fool who knows nothing other than logic.
Logic tells you this, and reminds you every time the wolves howl at night from the (Guess where!) forest! You have lived your whole life on the Lord's land, with little to no problems (unless you have a tragic backstory.) You've lived your whole life without many problems, right? You pay your taxes, and have enough to live. Times aren't hard because they've always been hard, 'hard times' are the norm for you. You serf.
And thus this is how the medieval times were born, on serfdom, and fuedelism.
OH! Not to mention, you think all those dragons, monsters, and terrible bad people are real. When only one of them is real. And which one do you fear the most because you've been around people your whole life? The imagination of what a bad one can do when you hear about torturing such as the spread eagle, beheadings, being pulled apart by HORSES, and being gutted alive.
Oh! Not to mention everyone relates the baddies to the biggest, baddest, worst there were, hence you hear stories of how Hannibal's mere PRESENCE, yes, PRESENCE, made wounded Romans commit suicide.
That's right! They dug little holes, shoved their heads in them, and ate DIRT as a way to SUFFOCATE themselves, rather than be captured by Hannibal.

Hannibal and Rome was the classical era, not medieval

I know this, but the classical era stories were told in medieval times.

Or maybe people can play however they want? Think about that? Maybe it isn't your business wether people want to play as a "White Knight" who wants to help everyone be free, or a Tyrannical Lord who slaughters everyone who looks his way, or a peseant with a banana stuck up his ass named Markus Yellowass? This is a video game where you can RP as anything (given you are a person, and are in a medieval setting) you want! There is no need to argue about telling people how to play a game. Some roles may be more historically accurate, but last I checked, we are in Calldaria, a place that is fictional. In fictional worlds you can be anyone and do anything (with exceptions)! So maybe it doesn't matter, and there doesn't need to be an entire chat dedicated to this arguement.

I'm not saying people should roleplay a certain way, I'm simply reminding them of the medieval mindset, no reason to be so hostile.

Alright, my new character is Dlad Vracula, and he has sharp lower teeth, can turn into a rat, and drinks the vaginal fluids of his victims to sustain himself. That is RPing how I want, right?
