Background/History:
Chullain was born on an island off the Rhodok coast. He was born out of an unfaithful marriage, his father (Domhnall) being king of the land, and his mother an unwed courtier named Maria. He was born five years after his older brother, Iomhar. By the time Iomhar was ten and training with a sword, Chullain was doing the same, but with sticks. Chullain was trained from a young age to always be wary, and be prepared to fight. He was trained by the master at arms of the kingdom, receiving formal education in letters and history. He also learned how to skillfully ride a horse. His master at arms, and trainer encouraged the use of exotic weapons away from the traditional sword and shield. This is how Chullain picked up the glaive and became a master of his art. He later learned how to shoot a crossbow, going on many hunts and bagging many of the deer. His favorite game though, is boar. Being a bastard son of the king of the land wasn't easy. He was always being the third wheel and wasn't seen or regarded as highly as his brother.
Until he proved his worth by preventing a hired killer from completing his contract on Iomhar's and Chullain's father, killing his first man at the age of 12 (twelve.) People, from that point on regarded him more highly, even though he was a bastard. And no one would question his skill with a weapon or his usefulness again. However all the years of being treated so poorly by the nobles had led him to have a strong dislike for most nobles and knights. His brother and nephew are some of the only nobles he can stand. Being so poorly regarded also fueled his short to anger spirit, although that just made him fight harder to be better, train harder. Thanks to his master at arms he was able to develop leadership skills as well as his cunning. His teacher always told him that men may follow the lord, but only so long as their purses are full. You won't need purses when you win over their hearts though. From then he has valued every single soldier's life, no matter how common they are.
His skills were proven and tested time after time in each skirmish and battle that happened in his father's land. He gained more and more experience improving his skills to the point he could take his glaive and shave his face to a fine point. Chullain formed a strong relationship with his brother, which only became stronger after the sea raiders attacked and they were forced to flee. He often trained with him, and took great joy in joking and gambling with him as well. After his brother took his first wife and had a child, he took on the role of uncle. Although he is only 12 (twelve) years older than his nephew, Cahan. He formed a strong bond with him as well, training with him and teaching him all he knew. If anything is important to Chullain it is family. Sadly his ideals were shattered when at the age of 24 (twenty-four) his brother, nephew, and himself had to flee their home from the invading Sea Raiders. Now he is on the mainland of Calradia looking to establish a place for himself and his family.
In character history: In his latest adventures Chullain had found employment with his brother under the man named Nicholas Vanderhart. He is a wealthy buisness man who pays well for their jobs. His brother, along with the rest of the garrison at the time went to protect the man when he was held up in a robbery. Chullain along with the rest of the men dispatched the thieves, leaving everyone alive. But taking two prisoners. Chullain ended up torturing one to death, and later on when his brother was down there the emperor of the land Murgash Porkbelly had come to rescue his men back. His brother incurred injury, but luckily Chullain was able to disarm him and kill him. Afterwards the remaining prisoner was released.
His nephew, Cahan found a spy in the land which he became eager to capture. Chullain ended up helping him, but ultimately it was his nephew who captured him and brought him to the Eoghain prison. The prisoner eventually got away, but luckily his nephew apprehended him and killed him.
Afterwards the next event of importance would be when Vanderhart had arranged a bounty of 15,000 gold on the head of Garth Dobinson, and 1,000 for each of his soldiers. His reasoning having been Garth is a murderer. Having killed Alexander Haleheart and Alburic Leatherwood. Chullain in the pursuit of justice he questioned a soldier of Dobinson's garrison named Rodrik Trench. He found out interesting information, and was later questioned about all of it by Garth himself. While talk proceeded, Chullain went looking for his brother to give him the news. He found him along with two soldiers named Simon Songwell and Aoife. Garth and Wayne Dobinson along with Rodrik and Harry Elwood arrived to confront the Eoghains. The end result of it ended up the Dobinson's wanted Chullain to come with them for questioning. The Eoghain's declined and a fight between the two sides ensued. The Dobinson's won with only a few bruises, while Chullain was in place fighting Wayne he had been unknowing of his fellow allies which had all been but struck down, and he got struck in the back. The Dobinson's then took them all to the prison, minus Aoife who they called saying "Leave the whore." There was a long spat in the prison of talking and the like, the Dobinson's wanting information on Vanderhart. A lady named Mary Farthingdale came in, whom Chullain didn't know. Though Chullain wanted Simon and his brother bailed out she only had enough for one and Iomhar insisted it was Chullain. Chullain then came up with an idea which got his brother and Simon out of prison, however he agreed to go back in so the Dobinson's had a hostage. They treated him fairly and Chullain has taking a liking to Wayne Dobinson who has catered to his needs and provided him with conversation, treating him fairly.
Later on, several weeks later Chullain was broken out of prison by his brother, Iomhar. The plan that was agreed upon with the Dobinson's never happened, and Chullain narrowly escaped the plague with his brother, nephew, and the rest of the Eoghain garrison. Iomhar later took on a field assignment of scouting the northern mountains, from which he has not yet returned, and Chullain worries for him. Chullain wasn't even aware of his departure until Simon, who is now the lord of the city of New Zendar, told him. Chullain was off himself, in a neighboring land, hunting, training, and hiring himself out for fortune and adventure. It was when Chullain saw Simon again that he explained all of what had happened. There was great rebellion and riots after Iomhar and Chullain left, and so Simon stepped up, taking charge and crushing all revolts. A new threat emerged from the northern side of the area when Vaegirs attacked, but luckily Simon was able to rally men together and fight them off. He captured their leader and released him when all his soldiers had been killed, fled, or joined with Simon. This is how he came across the right hand of Domovoi, Aleks. All of this happened before Chullain returned to the land and found Simon. He now rides with Simon, awaiting his brother Iomhar's return from the mountains, having no desire to rule the realm himself he has accepted Simon as his equal, how far the soldier had risen. Chullain also met up with and briefly encountered the women named Aoife. Another person who had once been in the Eoghain garrison, who now happens to be the captain of the guard in the Valley. What happens now is up to fate, how Chullain will spend his time waiting for his brother's return is unknown.-To be updated.
