Early Life

Delwyn was born in a small village with a keep not far from Yalen into the noble house of Broderick. House Broderick was an small and honorable House in the Kingdom of Rhodoks. Delwyn's father, Aewyn was a knight for twenty three years having served in many battles and wars until he decided to retire. By the time his father had retired from being a knight, he was granted a keep and a small village to manage. Delwyn's mother, Rosie who Aewyn had just married several years earlier raised and helped Delwyn how to read and write when he was old enough to. His mother figured that when he was about six years old he was ready to learn how to read and write. Teaching Delwyn how to read and write took a total of two years for him read and write decently enough. During these teachings, it was found that Delwyn had terrible eyesight which made it harder to do most basic things. Rosie after finding out this information decided to keep it hidden as she thought it would mess up his future.
By the time of Delwyn's eighth birthday his father decided to begin to teach him how to fight with wooden swords. This training was very difficult and time consuming due to Delwyn's eyesight. The training eventually took a total of four years to complete adequately enough. After completing this training Delwyn was taught how to ride a horse and a how to fight on one, with a lance and with a sword. Delwyn practiced his swordsman ship and riding skills everyday for several hours and would then join his father in any politics he had to do in the keep. He continued to do this for two more years until his father decided that it was best for him to become a squire.

Squire Years
Delwyn first met the knight he was to squire not long after his father had begun mentioning it to him. The knight, Sir Richard Meaor was in his early thirties and was most likely ready to retire from being a knight. Delwyn was to be his last squire and possibly the best one to have served him. However, the knight was the most rude, arrogant and hateful man that Delwyn had ever met in his life. Due to this, it made almost every situation the two went into difficult to get through. He was still forced to follow the knight's orders and listen to any guidance he may have. Eventually, over time the relationship got slightly better to the point to where they seemed like friends.
The group of two eventually traveled to Jelkala where the knight was apparently asked to lead a company of soldiers to destroy a bandit encampment. Not soon after arriving in Jelkala, Delwyn was gifted his first set of armor and weapons from the knight. After receiving the weapons and armor from the knight it was time to head out to the bandit camp. They rode out of Jelkala in the place that was thought to be the camp several days later. Eventually, they arrived at the camp to find that the bandits were no where to be found. However, none the less they decided it was best to burn down the camp in hope that it would stop their banditry acts. They waited at the camp for several more hours after burning it to see if they would show up when they didn't. As they were returning to Jelkala, the company ran into the bandits who were returning back to their camp. The fight between the bandits and the company broke out with the bandits being demolished by the crossbow fire and Rhodok infantry. During the fight, Sir Richard's horse was knocked down by a bandit and they shot him with arrows as he was on the ground. After all the bandits were finished and the wounded were gathered, they went back to Jelkala.
Soon after arriving from Jelkala, Sir Richard was healed along with any of the company that was wounded. Due to Sir Richard being wounded, the group of two were forced to stay in Jelk for some time until all his wounds were mostly healed. During this time, Delwyn practiced his swordsmanship with other squires that were in Jelk. He also met many other nobles and knights giving him any guidance he needed towards being a squire and eventually a knight. The party stayed in Jelk for several more weeks until the knight felt well enough to travel to their next destination. They sallied out from Jelk the following day to Yalen, where they arrived several days later. At Yalen, the knight had the same job he arrived to Jelkala for, killing bandits. He was meant to lead yet another company of Rhodoks into a bandit encampment and destroy it along with the bandits. However, Sir Richard did not believe he was one hundred percent so he decided that Delwyn would lead the company against them. Delwyn, not knowing what he was doing lead the company out of Yalen the next day onto where the supposed location of the camp was. They arrived at the camp later that day finding and destroying the bandits after losing several men. During the fight however, Delwyn's armor was busted open and most of the chain mail had fallen off.
After returning to Yalen, the knight bought Delwyn yet another set of armor and even upgraded his current weapons. This included, a decent mail with tunic, leather gloves and leather boots. The group of two for several years continued to travel between Yalen and Jelkala leading companies to destroy bandit camps. Delwyn gained much experience from fighting bandits, sparring with Sir Richard and riding around everywhere. He learned a lot with the knight however his days with him were numbered.

Knighthood
Someone in Yalen had received reports that some sarranid raiders had crossed the border and were most likely going to target a village next to the border. Due to the matter at thand and the experience Sir Richard had, he was chosen to lead yet another company to fight off the sarranids. It would take quite some time to get to the village and it may be raided before the company arrives. Still, they decided to head to the village anyways, arriving there many days later. Once at the village, they discovered it was fine and that the raiders were not seen by any village near the border. The company was still hired to defend the village against them so they decided they would stay in the village for several days. That night, the sarranid raiders attempted to raid the village and destroy the company. The company, who were much more armored and armed than the sarranid raiders managed to take out most of the force causing the rest to retreat back to their lands. However, during the fighting, Sir Richard was taken out. Delwyn hardly cared that Sir Richard had died as he did not like him that much to begin with. He still enjoyed the time he was with him and enjoyed the armor he had bought him as well.
Sir Richard's body was brought back to Yalen, where he was buried. His armor was given to Delwyn after it was fitted towards himself. Sir Richard's weapons were also gifted to him as they were a very well made Eventually due to Delwyn's heroic acts at the village somehow, he was knighted by a lord at Yalen. After being knighted and having all that he really needed, he decided to return home and visit his father.

Home
Delwyn returned home to find that his father had died many years earlier and his mother was already ill. Due to his father's death, Delwyn was able to take his father's position as Lord of the village and keep. His mother told Delwyn all he needed to and left a list of anything she didn't remember to tell him. She died several weeks later of her illness. Even after the death of both his parents, he still had to manage the village and the keep. He did exactly as his mother told him and also did whatever the checklist advised him to do. Delwyn was quite decent at running the village and keep and he did so for ten years until he decided to sell the keep and village to another knight who wanted it.
After selling the keep, Delwyn returned to Yalen, visited Sir Richard's body and was given a mission by a lord. The mission was to get khergits off of their own lands and back onto theirs. Delwyn left Yalen later that week along with a small company of infantry and crossbowmen. He arrived at the border later that week to find that the khergits had already left the lands and the mission didn't even need to happen. Delwyn returned back to Yalen eventually finding that he had nothing to do but roam the lands in search of things to do.
