This is just something I've been thinking about recently. I'm not even sure if Realm has the ability to change armor stats. Anyways, I feel like the battles are over too quickly. Skirmishes end somewhat quickly it seems, even the best armored men going down in around 5 hits. This does have to factor in weapon damage vs what armor you got, but still, battles seem over way to quick. The highest damaging weapon can kill a man in the highest protecting armor in around 3 hits. Skirmishes should last into the minutes. A duel at the rate it is now is over in a matter of seconds. Being able to take more hits will prolong fighting making it more intense, and giving you time to change your strategy if nothing is working. I'm not saying that padded gear should be able to resist multiple axe blows, but if you are wearing some actual armor like chain or a form of plate, you can take hits. Lots of hits. Vote YES! - if you are tired of being squishy and want to have more realistic/intense battles Vote NO! - you like battles being over quick, short and to the point Here are just some examples showing what plate armors can withstand. Keep in mind that you would be wearing multiple types of armor. Probably a normal shirt, layered with padded armor, and (probably even a leather layer) chainmail below your plate.www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-Xp56uVyxswww.youtube.com/watch?v=O9eCzG8AAoQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=E8vFfDuG-iAwww.youtube.com/watch?v=_vYJtQnjXfA

The armor is much weaker irl, by when I see vikings in full plate it breaks rp so freaking quick. We should honestly get rid of plate and end this anti rp with all these tin cans out of class.

Yeah... And people can easily get someone with any armor by getting them to start typing and just 2 hit them.
I think blunts/deflects should be more frequent.

I honestly would not mind a buff for realism, but people need to realize that this will make the gap between people even larger when our ideal economy goes into place and not very many can afford heavier armors.

Simple solution:
Get morningstars/maces if you're a peasant.

I don't understand, it's just native stats. Is this really a big deal? Please do not change anything.

This is why you buff armor stats, not health stats. Reward someone for being a total medieval badass, not naked people with greatswords. A health buff wouldn't do what I'm going for here.
