Fjallio Vikingr
"Til Valhall!"
The Fjallio Vikingr are a clan that reside at Mount Hellstone, these men, women, and adolescents reside immersed in a culture newly founded by Hromundr Finnvadr's ancestors, known as the Norse peoples, or Norsemen.
Beliefs:
The Fjallio Vikingr believe in the Norse gods, and that Ragnarok, the end times, has not happened yet. They are a group of like-minded 'Vikingr' as they call themselves, they loot, they pillage, they take slaves, and rob, however not against the poor. They believe whatever is not guarded, is theirs for the taking. They are known as Norse Pagans, as well, their moral virtues are still put into play, in a very complicated manner. Their deities are many, and too many to list, however the main known deities are Thor, the protector of humanity, Odin, the owner of Valhalla's glorious hall. The Norse strongly believe in their deities and omens, to insult a Vikingr's deities is to bring an axe to one's throat, near immediately.
Current History:
The Beginning
The Vikingr have established a sound presence in the area, recruiting various shield brothers and shield maiden to form a shield wall, many of which are loyal, good fighters. Now the endeavor comes to recruit high born peoples that are pure enough to become honorary Vikingr, and to find another Ulfhednar.
Recent Events
Recently the Fjallio Vikingr have established somewhat of a bad reputation, to which Hromundr has been trying to restore. Being the only one to bring the Norseman way to the Valley, he has been raised his whole life to be a Vikingr, and knows its traditions, the way of bartering and speech do not come easily to this man, as his band of his has recently upset Glunmar, by simply taking their meat, without giving gold. Upon finding out the poor townspeople were upset, and have local sway with the populace, Hromundr has decided to officially begin trade with Glunmar, and secretly become its protectorates. Whether they realize it or not, the Vikingr will ride to defend Glunmar any day, at any place, in any time, no matter how few, or many enemies.
Hromundr's recent toil with the Brackenwalts have left a sour taste in his mouth, with recently being run down, and hunted like a dog by a war party, he has exacted his revenge, pulling off a heist, as well as showing them what happens when Vikingr are put to the test of mettle.
It was a glorious battle indeed! The keep was raided, axes were thrown, and the doors broken down, when the 4 Vikingr made their way inside, they found a single man standing against them, locking himself into the armory he demanded single combat, to which the Vikingr responded by destroying a partial bit of his castle. The Vikingr then carried on to coax the man out, and mortally struck him, unbeknownst to them, he was the commander of the castle! Soon they mounted his head on a pike, as a warning to the faction, and wished him goodbye on his trip to Valhalla, hoping to bet here one day with him, for his bravery in battle, and sacrifice of himself for his cowardly shield brothers.
Due to recent actions with the raiding, most of the Vikingr feel they need to dispatch the cowards amongst the Brackenwalt's shieldwall, Hromundr has decided that, while Brackenwalt contains very good hearted and good spirited men, they are destined to fight, and both sides will be taken by Valkyries, perhaps they are open to negotiation.

Being a Vikingr
A Story
By
Hromundr Finnvadr
"Being a Vikingr is a simple task, listen to your warlord, he will bring you in the gold, listen to your Gods, they will bring you to a better afterlife, or a better life. Die in battle, for it is the most honorable way to die sword in hand. A true Vikingr -NEVER- dies without a sword in hand. A true Vikingr also doesn't loot, raid, and pillage poor farmers who are barely passing by! They take rich lands, by force, by sneak, or by word, they shall do it! Finnvadr's are known to be sneaky, but also vicious.
Now, about encountering other Vikings, my friend!
Encountering another Vikingr is simple, you should greet each other happily, you are both shield brothers or sisters. Do NOT insult another Vikingr! It is disgraceful, infighting will make us look weak infront of our enemies.
Encountering a serf or a peasant, who obviously has no social status, should be the same as greeting your mother! You should be kind, respectful, and cooperative, killing, offending, and raping lowly peasants not only brings you dishonor, but your whole shieldwall! Serfs are 'prizes' for if they swear fealty to Fjallio Vikingr, they will bring far more gold along with them than if they were hating Vikingr and spreading rumors of our extreme cruelty against the low-class.
Encountering a non-Vikingr who seems well off is simply up to the Vikingr who meets them, but do NOT take aggression to an idiotic level, do not tackle a challenge you aren't prepared to face later down the road, times ten. If you cannot kill ten of the same man you are facing, then do not face him!
Encountering a family of a Ulfhednar is like encountering a royal family! This man's family gave to this world the best gift of all, an Ulfhednar! A man chosen BY ODIN and given special superhuman abilities! This family is to be treated as a Noble's family is to be treated, with respect and kindness. Ass kissing an Ulfhednar's family will find an angry, beserkergang Ulfhednar at your doorstep.
Encountering an Ulfhednar or Warlord is as if you're encountering a man send by the Gods himself, which in a case of an Ulfhednar, you are! This person has struggled through life by tackling his or her's problems head on! And living to tell the tale! If they say "Til Valhall!" and they mean it, you'd better return it with higher enthusiasm. These men will be your best friends, and the leaders of your shieldwall.
Encountering a virgin Vikingr Warrior is almost parallel if not the female version of an Ulfhednar! These women have given up a life of pleasure, mead, and wifery for the sword! They remain the highest esteemed female warriors in your shield wall until they are married, in which case you will remember her esteem, and you will appreciate her esteem! These women would rather cut out your jugular and eat it than have a nice little dinner with you to sit and talk about their feelings. These women are the fucking Beowulfs of Vikingr, but female! Do NOT underestimate them, it could lead to your death!
Strength in numbers! If you see a fellow member of the shield wall, take up arms and stand beside them, you die together, or win together! There is no cowering, if a fellow Vikingr is outnumbered 1 to 10, you will stand by their side! The Gods will be on your side, and help will likely be there soon! This doesn't mean rush headlong into battle against numerous opponents, support each other and try to fall back, but do not turn your back on the enemy!
Now! You're fully prepared! Shields up! The enemy approaches!! TIL VALHALL!! TIL VALHALL!
TIL VALHALL!"
