Background: Ishtar comes from a tribe of migrating Khergits called the Kurgan a long ago his people followed the Boar herds they hunted into the valley and there they stayed they built his people settled there and built a mighty bastion at Osvirklif Castle (If there is already lore behind it I will delete this part) and subsided on hunting the boars and extracting tribute from the people of Glumnar. However this came to an end when the forigeners arrived bringing with them suits of iron, spears twice as long as a man, and strange 'crossbows' the Kurgan and the forigeners clashed on many occations until the forigeners destroyed Osvirklif and drove the Kurgan into the mountains. Life was hard but bearable as the village of Glumnar still had ot pay its tribute then more forigeners came these ones wielding great axes these men drove the Kurgan farther into the mountains. By this time life was hard and unforgiving but still the Kurgan survived then a great host came from a land of snow and ice they were defeated in a massive battle against the men of iron suits and were driven themselves into the mountains the Kurgan then battled these men and were yet again driven away for the Kurgan fought with armor of hide and leather not iron and mail their horses rode into battle bare while the forigeners fought with horses coated in mail and plate, they also lacked the massive swords, great axes, 'pikes' and 'crossbows' the forigeners wielded. After many generations of infighting, starvation, and being forced from home to home the once mighty Kurgan have been scattered to the winds and those who remain have resorted to banditry just to survive.
Then after generations of misery and death a man has arrisen amongst the Kurgan who might lead them to conquest yet again, his name was Ishtar son of Bakan, Ishtar took up the surname of Khan because those who lead the Kurgan in the days of old used the surname. Now their enemies have names Swadians, Nords, Vaegirs, Rhodoks but one thing is constant...war. So Ishtar spoke and being a very charismatic man he gained a following and started leading men down from the mountains to loot and steal again and maybe someday the Kurgan will drive the forigeners into the mountains...
Where did Ishtar come from???
Ishtar came from a mountains camp of the Kurgan people his mother was a weaver and his father breed the stout ponys the Kurgan would ride (saddle and sumpters) His unbringing was rather unremarkable except for his ability to solve things through words and not fists and steel as was traditional. Ishtar never learned to read or write but knows basic mathmatics, he took an interest in the stories of his people and the tales of what were and the prophesies of what could be. As he grew older he began more and more to grow ambitous at the time the Kurgan would only waylay travellers and miners in the mountains along with the occational raid on Vaegir patrols. Ishtar led the men of the Kurgan in the first raid against Valley-Dwellers (also refered to as Lowlanders) in 40 years proforming such a feat gained him popularity amongst his own people and many flocked to him during his time leading the Tribe they have grown bolder in their raids and have skirmished at the very gates of Laras Outpost *WIP*
(this will include how Ishtar comes into play and some more lore, if you dont want the Kurgans lore just ask and I'll remove it I just thought the mountain bandit camp needed lore and since it has lots of khergit stuff i came up with this)
