TL;DR
Be active and have a positive attitude towards stimulating RP.
To elaborate more, Vulpe has a very solid plan- he has been doing this for years and knows what it's all about. The issue is, he can have the best vision for the future of this server NA but nothing will happen without a good playerbase to listen to him and put what he says into action.

LORE - I can do some writing and lore creation - I love doing it.
ECONOMY - Sounds good.
WE NEED TO DECIDE ON A MOD TO SWITCH TO. - I know nothing about this boogaloo.
WE NEED TO HELP EACH OTHER OUT. - WE NEED TO HELP EACH OTHER OUT!

I still don't agree with a hard economy. People would be working more instead of RPing. Q_Q

I think this will encourage a grittier form of RP, causing a sense of desperation. No longer will there be the sunshine, lollipops and rainbows of the old server were everyone was financially well off. We might actually see beggars in the streets, and more people will take up petty thievery. Buying a shirt will be a chore, just like working up to get that full tin in a normal PW server. If anything, I think it will ENCOURAGE financial gain through RP. No stockpiles means that the farmer has to sell his crop to the lord, no stockpiles means the blacksmith has to negotiate a price for his sword. I think some FUCKING AWESOME RP will come from this change.
Dunno, just my thoughts.

I'd add something that allows you to get a little bit of gold every 15-20 minutes such as ToR, SRP, and WRP have done in the past. "So what is your profession" "Yeah I just leave a rock on my W key all night..." Which is why Admins on WRP kicked people suspected of doing that, if you need to go AKK, Log off

There are winners and losers in life, and there are winners and losers in games yet people try to prevent people from winning. The changes within the server are a clear example of this. This applies in real life, too. Businessmen should run America, not someone who tries to bash the fuck out of everyone's hard earned money.

There were very few winners, and they usually died and became losers like the rest. This is what the new economy with emulate.

Turducken, I do not mean to be offensive and this goes for the rest of the community who vouches for this economic system. This economic system is too difficult and VERY little thought upon. In your own mind, please look at the cause and effects of this both IC and OOC. People who like this system will most likely bitch about how very little money they make and lack of RP because of everyone working. No one will be able to RP as the middle class, and there shall be a low populated upper class. The upper class in this mod and RP is the most vital. Lords and the rich make wars, discuss plans, makes decisions, etc. If that is taken away from us, all we have to RP with is the poor peasants who always RDM and fight in the bars over some stupid person making some stupid, irrelevant remark that most likely is interrupting the roleplay and breaking RP. We MUST have a decently populated upper class or else RP is going to fail along with the server. This server will be committing suicide if we do such things with the economy, which has a direct influence on RP.

You are very wrong here, in fact, what you say is the opposite; this already happens because everybody has so much money! With all these tincans and swords and nothing to do with your time, a lot of people do exactly that; sit around in bars and murder people for whatever reasons they can think of. Is this really the kind of server we want?

Lets take this into account of the real world, shall we? Who dies more, the rich or poor? Who talks to more people and meets with them, the rich or poor? Who speaks to more people and has a higher command, a General or a Private?

Who speaks to more people and has a higher command, a General or a Private? Who are their more of? The poor. The Private. We have an overpopulation of Upper Class, and now people take it for granted. Look at the real world; the Rich got all their power from the poor, not from just being rich. I personally like to try and do this within my own clan; I only award Knighthoods and actual status to a few; that way there are many common footsoldiers. Is that a bad thing? Is it worse to RP as the lower class? We had fun, and there were only 2 members of the ruling house and 2 Knights in our upper class. You are familiar with Nexus culture, where everyone was a Lord from somewhere with a greatsword and plate armor. I, personally, despised Nexus in the form that I saw it. It had very few good roleplays, and was, mostly, tincans running around waiting for some reason to kill you and loot your money without being banned for RDM. This server, under RealmHawk and LaVulpe, will be different, and will actually have the RP needed so that it doesn't hit the point of everyone having a million coins.

You are bickering over a point that has been proven to work, enjoyed by all (including the poor), has made magnificent RP, involving the poor, and more importantly, a point that is staying whether you fight over it or not. Let me set some points of what to expect. If you are planning to get in a fight daily, you will not enjoy this. You MIGHT get a single fight in a week. That is because people do not want to die, they would rather rp. If you expect to have armor and weapons in a short amount of time, you will hate this. Odds are your character will die before he can be clothed in mail with decent weapons. This is realistic and people enjoy it as well. Most soldiers will be equipped with fairly basic weapons and cloth armor. On ToR having leather was a priveledge few could afford. Only 2-3 people had studded leather, and that was a sign of having plenty of coin. If you want something, you will have to work for it. And you will need to build a reputation or people will not hire you. I made a mercenary char on ToR to test this, it took me a week of begging for a job to get a short spear, and another week to get a red gambeson. And I enjoyed those two weeks, my char made good friends and after a month most people, and every noble, knew who he was. After that his career took off, and that is how life works. A slow start followed by a rocket to the top of done right.
Crazed, your characters will have to experience actual work for the first time ever. I hope you have the patience for it.

God the only way I have made money on PW was either abusing script errors, mining silver/gold, or getting someone else to do the dirty work. Q_Q

I was filthy rich on Asmund's server because of that. We all did it and we all knew how to do it but it was funny because the staff had no idea :'D
