Background/History: *WIP* In the city of Yalen, Revan Harvey Caldwell was born in the midst of autumn when the leaves shown wild colors. His father, Walter Hobbes Caldwell, was an esteemed Vassal of the Rhodok Highlands. Revan's father was of noble birth as his father before him, who had been a part of the swadian-rhodok kingdom split. Although there was still some tension between the two kingdoms, by this time they were at peace and understanding. As a boy, Revan's father was campaigning against attacks of the southeastern kingdoms. Revan didn't see him much, but his 15 year old brother Destrian Aurthur Caldwell provided him with good company. The boys were obsessed with roaming about the city. Their mother, Arabella Jacquelyn Caldwell could never seem to find them. She didn't worry that much because she had little attachment to the two boys. Walter wanted to have children more than she did, and their nursemaid, Josie, had tended to them when they were young. Often times Arabella would send Josie out into the morning to go look for them not to see her again until nightfall without the boys who would find their way back before her. This wasn't everyday though; most were filled with chores and combat lessons. The boys had little time to do anything but recollect the memories of the past day's adventures. Walter had no desire to educate his children, for he wanted them to proclaim their vassalage for King Graveth as he did. Walter taught Destrian the way of the sword; it was all he was ever concerned with. He had tried to teach Revan before, but he was sadly disappointed. The boy was horrifically uncoordinated with anything but a dagger, and even then he was mostly just flailing around. However, Revan had the eye of an eagle. Walter would sometimes take him hunting on the royal grounds and the boy, with his crossbow, could snipe deer his father couldn't even see. As promising as Destrian may have been, his skill level in sword fighting was no where equivocal to Revan's in crossbow shooting. From the time he went hunting, he practiced day in and day out on the target his father had prepared for him. One evening in the spring, A company of Sarranids arrived by sailing up the coastline and invaded the city. Revan's father was not in the city and he had a bad feeling about the battle. After thinking the situation over for a bit, Revan seized household valuables to quickly set sail on a small fishing vessel following the coastline and approximating with his map to try and reach the swadian city of Praven. Due to his poor navigation, Revan unfortunately landed further north about to run out of supplies. He knew not of Destrian's whereabouts; perhaps, he had stayed to fight. All he was concerned with was finding food and shelter after such a long journey.
