Backround/History:
Septimus Victone was born deep within the heart of the nordic lands in Calradia on a snowy winter day. His father, Nicholas, was an active noble in the king's "inner circle" and directed various military operations. Nicholas' first wife, Danielle, died during childbirth. In order to give Septimus an easier life, he would marry a woman named Gail before year's end. Gail was the daughter of Count Darius, the owner of the fief, Tihr, back then. Through this marriage, many benefactors were created. The Victone family gained much political and military power. Nicholas and Gail, after two years of marriage, would have another child. The child was feminine, and named Juliette. Juliette was a wonder baby girl, and Septimus often felt threatened by her very existence. Septimus' parents payed much attention to Juliette, and they had high hopes for her. They tried to mold her life as if she was a piece of clay. Nicholas and Gail had already promised her hand in marriage to Denzel, a man who would inherit Wercheg after his father's dismissal. Unfortunately one spring evening, a four-month-old Juliette was diagnosed with a plague that had been going around. It had killed many infants and young children, and three weeks after the diagnosis young Juliette suddenly perished. The infant's service was viewed by over 150 nobles throughout the lands, and it was truly a day of mourning. Septimus would look at his sister, prior to the cremation, and stroke the side of her cheek. His eyes watered, but he refused to cry, as he tried to remain strong as his father did. Septimus was five years old.
Weeks after the death of young Juliette, word reached Septimus and his family of a new child born in the family. His name was Chase, the son of his father's brother. Septimus and his family would be called for a family gather for the newborn Chase, and they admired him. They predicted the child to be a natural warrior, as he came into this world kicking and he was always moving. The Victone family was growing not only in numbers, but financially, and also in fame. The Victone family of the nordic lands were a large contributor to the Norse campaigns, politics, and military. They controlled a lot of things, including food and water...
When Septimus was eight (soon to be nine), a horrible famine came over the nords. Food was at an all time low, and the only way to aquire water was to gather snow, melt it, and drink it... The snow was often filthy, so people who drank the water daily would often die after a month or two, if they were lucky... To add to the devastation, Swadia had just declared war on the nords and a sickness spread. The Victones were in trouble, along with much of the other political figures in the land. They had recently been exposed for hiding large amounts of food in their fiefs and properties, and the people wanted the food. Various rallies occurred, and one barn was burnt to a crisp. Nicholas was under a lot of pressure, and began to act very strangely. These events occurred until Septimus was 11 years old, when the people stormed Wercheg and resupplied the food source. Imports were being created, trades began, and merchants migrated to the lands. The food crisis was solved, but after the suicide of Septimus' father. He had suicided after his third property was destroyed and the debts were being placed in... This left Septimus and Gail all alone, left in the dark with nothing but depression, their wealth, their fame, and reduced political fame.
At age fifteen, four years after his father's death, Septimus found himself being schooled by only the most brilliant minds in all of Calradia. Men from all different regions gathered in his school. It was in this very school Septimus was taught mathematics, grammar, economics, political science, and mastered the art of combat. At the same time, he and Gail had lived all alone together. They had gotten over the death of Nicholas and moved on. Gail spent most of her days at Tihr with her father, and the only way the two acquired money was through Count Darius. It payed for their beloved home and Septimus' education. At age sixteen, Septimus had developed emotional attachments towards his step mother. During Autumn, he and Gail had their first affair together. Gail had seduced Septimus, as she had also had feelings for him. On a daily basis, the two would have sexual contact. Septimus' stepmother was rather attractive, and he would always give into temptation while knowing the wrongness of these affairs. Some days they would go on for hours at a time, and some days they would try new things. The affairs would end when Septimus would be eighteen years old, when Gail suddenly died of a heart attack after their last affair. Septimus would wake up and she would be lying dead right next to him. He had got dressed, dressed his stepmother, cleaned the room, and reported it to the guards. No one ever found out about the affairs, but deep down inside Septimus felt guilt, and he thought himself as a sexual deviant for these acts. Septimus, although, did give in to temptation more than enough times.
A year after the death of his stepmother, Septimus had immigrated to the lands of Yore. He would befriend a clan known as Tinadel, and other families. Septimus would gain political and small military power in Yore. After three years of being there, he received word of his cousin, Chase, whom his family once idolized even as an infant, left his home to live in the Valley of Swamps, or so it was called, along with various other family members. Septimus had abandoned what he gained in Yore and boarded a one-way ship to the new lands in order to join his family and others there. Upon arrival, he also encountered his friends, Clan Tinadel, and they began to conquer the lands politically, economically, and military-wise. It has been four years since Septimus' arrival to the Swamp lands, and it has been very well. With the money he gained from Wercheg, Tihr, family, etc., Septimus Victone and his family were deemed one of the most noble families in all the land. Today, Septimus is one of the most wealthy men in Calradia, has a large say in political affairs, but unfortunately has little direct control over military affairs. He is in search of a wife to bear him a masculine child, and he constantly tries to negate his little military power.
