The Craftsman's Guild
Chapter of New Zendar, Calradia
Chapter of New Zendar, Calradia
History
There is not much to be said about the current chapter, for it has just started; only tales to be told about its roots and homeland.
If one embarked on a week long voyage north of Calradia, they would stumble upon Mettenheim, an island kingdom abundant with iron, coal, and stone. Dating back to the first kings of Mettenheim, the organization known as the Black Hammer Society has worked on incredible structures, monuments, and other masterpiece projects for nearly 700 years. Most notorious for the creation of the Iron Citadel, a fortress and royal dwelling constructed entirely of iron, people from all over the kingdom sought to join the organization in hopes of mastering their trade in order to gain fame and prestige.
Although drastically smaller in numbers today, the Black Hammer Society of Mettenheim is still a very respected and fabled group within the Mettenheim culture. Continuing its ancient tradition of not directly interfering with the politics of the realm, the society considers themselves "not-for-profit" and donates its proceeds towards individuals or groups whom which they perceive as "worthy". Few men still possess the primeval secrets of its forebears, and are beginning to die from old age. Due to the lack of apprentices to pass the secrets onto, one senior member of the organization, Reinhardt Schloss, took it upon himself to leave his homeland in order to further expand the organization across the sea. To avoid being perceived as a threatening militaristic group, Schloss decided to rename the Calradia version of the ancient society to The Craftsman's Guild.
Out-of-Character Information
This faction is not for anybody intending to seek combat or wealth. This faction will have neither, and its members will never engage in combat unless forced to defend his or herself. Members are required to pay gold dues to the senior members who will decide who or what to donate it to. Since this faction is solely based around non-combat classes, there will be heavy roleplay at all times.
