Vitanian Corosi is the son of Vitalian Corosi, the lord of Haringoth Castle on the border between the Swadians and the Rhodoks. One fateful siege of Suno by the Nords, where he and his father fought side by side, would leave his father gravely wounded. Following the succesion laws Vitanian's brother Jako would inherit the castle, however Jako was lazy and not a suitable lord. Vitalian knew this and bestowed inheritance upon Vitanian, enraging Jako, and causing him to make an attempt on Vitanian's life, in defense of his life Vitanian fought back and slew his traitorous brother. This retaliation got him banished by his people.
He then wondered around the lands, learning the cultures and equipment of the different nations. When he explored the lands he met many other travelers, one man named Tervan asked if he could travel with him. He and his accomplice were traveling in the snowy plains of the Vaegir homeland when they were ambushed by bandits, Tervan was killed and his other companion Eredal fled, leaving him for dead. After being forced to travel with the bandits, witnessing their foul deeds he escaped. Deep in Nordic territory he was lost. He was wandering around when he chanced upon a travelling merchant who took him to Curaw. Once there he traveled to the Sarranid deserts where he learned the horsemanship and swordsmanship of the Mamlukes.
Months of rigorous heat and training by a middle aged lord he met in a village occurred. Vitanian learned many things about the Sarranids, especially that their women like exotic men. His mentor frequently took him into the towns to teach him the native dialect. On one such trip he took Vitanian to the inn where he found a beautiful Sarranidian woman named Zeltina She fancied him and He fancied her so they visited each other quite frequently. But one day when he went to visit her she was gone, and no where to be found. His mentor continued putting him through the training until he thought Vitanian had master the ways of the horse and sword.
After a sad farewell set off from his mentor's castle to the lands North. He was travelling to the Khergit lands he met Eredal again, he almost slew him on the spot but he forgave him and accepted him back into his company. They traveled into a small kerghit tribal village where they were ambushed again, this time Vitanian and Eredal slew the bandits, however Eredal turned on Vitanian and attacked him, leaving the scar on his right jaw. After that Vitanian slew Eredal and was left to travel Calradia alone. Vitanian arrived in Rivacheg on the Vaegir coast and found a band of adventurers. He traveled with them to the Rhodok land and stayed there for a couple of months, doing odd jobs and drinking ale. He soon had enough of the mercenary work and set off, going North to the Nordic capital of Sargoth where he learned the old Nordic tales of valor and bravery on the field of battle;
However, he was "Politely asked to leave" by an old Nordic war veteran who had recognized him from the battle of Suno. Also, for those who are unaware being asked politely by a Nord means not being stabbed almost instantly. The Nord's request did not end in bloodshed luckily enough for Vitanian, even he could not defeat an tavern full of drunk, angry Nords. He then set off to the Eastern lands again, spending time in Reyvadin fighting in the local Tournament earning access to the feast and making new friends before leaving again.
Afterwards, he went sailing down the coast of the Vaegir lands to Wercheg but on the trip his ship was intercepted by sea raiders who plundered their goods and took most of Vitanian's belongings. They took the crew as prisoners upon their craft and continued sailing the seas, deprived of sunlight, food, and water, Vitanian was not looking very well off. One day a Raider came down to check on the prisoners and Vitanian managed to talk him into giving the prisoners some water, after that the raider, whose name was Fenloed, regularly came down and between him and Vitanian grew a bond, soon Fenleod had Vitanian released and taken ashore. However, the incident had ruined sailing for Vitanian completely. Dropped of on the coast East of Rivacheg he continued his travels.
