Sigvat was born the youngest of three brothers, by Graflem Tinadel, the clan leader of Tinadel during his time. Sigvat was again the youngest, the other brothers being Laban and Bubba Tinadel, although he would not meet Bubba until the age of 12, as Bubba was born in another village and founded by the clan during a raid. With Laban being just a year older than Ryan, they became close, always sparring and playing with one another, until Sigvat turned the age of 7, Laban was taken by their father to begin his training into manhood. At the age of 8, all pureborn Tinadel children will undergo the rigorous training. In the year long period where Sigvat waited his turn to join in the training, he was taught the art of reading, something only a few Tinadels were capable of, and usually reserved for the leaders or highest standing members of the clan. He only mastered the art after years and years, but he would have a firm grasp before even starting his training alongside his older brother Laban.
The day has come, and Sigvat has reached his 6th birth date, where he is taken from his cushioned home and sent into a world of discomfort, pain, and sorrow. His first years are spent with the physical trainer, a bulky man who's clearly a powerful fella. Normally Sigvat would be trained by his father, but Laban would receive his full attention, as he is the eldest of Graflem's known sons. In the first physical stages, the boys go through harsh hikes, runs, and swims giving them an incredible amount of pain tolerance and physical speed, it was not uncommon for the boys to die in this first stage, also failure was not an option. Failure meant beatings, or even worse, restrictions on food and sleep. The boys were taught young that their bodies are capable of much, and that only you can keep you from pushing your limits, and the boys defiantly were learning their limits.
After years of the brutal first stage, the young Sigvat now the age of 10, already looks a man. He stands 5'5 at 125 pounds, a sleek quick machine. He can run down rabbit and chase squirrels up trees. He can even scale mountains as his grip is as strong as full grown men. He now moves on to the Clan's huscarl, who deals with training the children at arms. Sigvat found himself to be a natural with the sword, preferring it over the more popular axe and shield style of his clan. During these years he really honed on his reading and writing abilities, balancing both his swordplay and knowledge well. He knew the written language of his people, and luckily the common tongue of Caladria, as many of the men in his clan have visited it so often. At this stage there were clear differences between him and his brother Laban. Laban being 11 at this time, stood over him by several inches, and outweighed him by 30 or so pounds, he was taking after his father Graflem, a 6'5 beserker. His brother was a brute, while Sigvat himself fancied cunning and quickness, not relying on his strength.
Two years pass with the Huscarl's teachings, and Sigvat is the age of 12. During another day of training in the yard, his father Graflem and some of the other clansmen return from a raiding party, but with another lad with them this time. A fatter, more peasant looking version of Graflem stood beside him, his name was Bubba. Graflem introduced him as his eldest son to the clan, and he was taken in. Although Bubba never went through the training that Sigvat or Laban would go through, he was not a force to be rekon with. He was an excellent archer, unmatched by even the clan's best. He was even well off enough with an axe to drop some of our veterans, proving himself a proper son of Graflem. Even though Bubba would be the eldest, he would not become heir of Clan Tinadel, as Graflem refused to name him such, instead giving it to his original intended Laban.
During a hunting run through the woods, Sigvat finds himself at an outlying village of the the Clan's territory, he would only be 14 at this time. He stumbles upon a young girl, most likely his own age collecting berries for her family, who naturally is quite frightened to see the young man covered in shit and dirt with only a spear and a ragged pair of trousers covering his body. After moments of the girl inspecting him, and realizing Sigvat means no trouble, she invites him into her modest home, helping him with a quick bathe and meal. Sigvat would from then, begin visiting the village once a week, often doing more than just eating and cleaning. After a few months of this repeating, it becomes clear the girl has become pregnant, and that he is the father as she has had no other man. With no one in his own village knowing, he keeps making frequent stops to the girl's home and insuring her well being, often bringing his gains from hunting for the day. Finally the time comes for her to have the baby, which he is present for. He stands inside the house, the front door would be open to keep the house cool as she delivers. With the help of two of the women from the village, they successfully retrieve the baby boy, whom the mother names Fox, simply because she caught sight of a Fox the day before. But then, they realize she's in trouble, as there's still another baby inside, she had twins. Hours go by with her still in labour but no luck, the baby can't be pushed out. The women realize she has to be cut open to save the baby, and that's whats done. The baby manages to survive the ordeal, but the mother dies soon after from the lose of blood. Sigvat, who at this point is disheartened, takes the boys back to his village to leave them in the care of his aunt and uncle while he continues training, and names the second boy Aldrik.
After years of beatings, running miles upon miles, eating nothing but the soggy bread and meat he hunted for himself, he has made it. At the age of 16, Sigvat was a man grown. He stood 6'0, and was nearly 170 pounds, still lean from his rough training. He was the quickest out of the brothers, and even the clan. With the ritual of manhood, he would be awarded his Tinadel tattoo, which is an image of two crossing axes, which would be placed along his back, the same place as his brother Laban. He clearly had the features of his Mother, as his brown long hair with blue eyes differed from his father of blonde with green eyes. After receiving his mark, his father welcomes him, and embraces him, the first, and only time he does so. His father was upset at how he refused to tell him and the clan about his son's initially, keeping them a secret until his aunt who cared for them was co-horsed into telling him. But with this special occasion, all was forgiven, as Sigvat was now a Tinadel grown.
After his ceremony, he would spend the next 4 years with his father and brothers, raiding and pillages and killing wherever he was ordered. He became feared and respected on the field, and was often given command of his own band, an honour rarely given to men that young. Once his father died, he became much more prevalent in the Clan, as Laban would tack on more responsibilities for him, usually giving him the command while he was away from the village or battles. Sigvat would return to Nordheim, the ancestral home of the Tinadels, to train his twin sons in the Tinadel way. As the years went on, he molded them both separately, as both had skills in different areas. Fox would become the quick and agile archer, while his son Aldrik favoured the traditional axe and shield, both were clear naturals at it, and took after their fathers appearance. Sigvat was sure to teach them both how to read and write in several languages, and making them both incredibly loyal and disciplined, they each had the scars to prove their commitment.
Nearing his 30's, Sigvat had already given both his sons their Tinadel markings, as both have earned it through the brutal trainings, and Sigvat was desperate for a new hobby during his off time. He had always knew how to work the fields, and has on few occasions, when there was a lack of field hands during the summer and crops needed picking, so Sigvat sowed his own farm near his family home and spent a few years off from the raids, and would instead yield crops. It also gave him a chance to read up several books on military tactics, and the histories of Caladria while he waited on his fruitful gains. This was a time of peace for Sigvat, the only time he would get, as soon after two harvests, his brother would reach out to him again for a new voyage to a place called Evora.
Equipment: Light armour, usually can be found in noble clothing or mail attire and a simple blade.
