This is an all or nothing deal. We either move or we stick with what we have right now. And we don't have much. The way I see it, worst case scenario we bum it out on that server until a better chance comes along. He is not willing to share any scripts, or to let us host an NA server with his scripts. Either we go to his server, or we stick with ours. Of course he doesn't it's pike lol, he wants a bunch of NA plebians with high ping to order around when he feels like it.

Although I have not played with either community, I can bring past experiences to light when providing input on this matter. Here are my concerns with remaining an independent server (listed in no particular order): - Smaller community. Some people prefer that small town feeling in which you know just about everybody that plays on the server. For me, however, it sometimes gets old and I long for interacting with some new blood and be placed in scenarios which require a healthy amount of players.
- Scripts (or lack thereof). If LaVulpe has correctly described the caliber of scripts that this other community has, you are missing out on some much needed immersion. A hunger system would ensure that some players be hunters, farmers, fishermen, and innkeepers. Private housing could allow for a faction or government to tax the land in addition to buying and selling property.
- OOC finances. Running a server is no easy task aside from the stress and maintenance of public relations. Those who frequent such servers tend to forget that somebody is footing the bill for their cost free experience. Teamspeak is also important for servers and this is costly as well. Perhaps the current management would have less of a financial burden if NA Sense merges with this "Pike".
Now here are my concerns with merging with another community, with a European one to be specific: - Ping. Although this shouldn't be a large issue in this discussion for combat in this type of community appears to be somewhat rare. Regardless, it could sometimes prove to be irritating to have a ping over 50 (at least for me personally).
- Loss of autonomy and control. As described, LaVulpe would be assigned "Head Admin" over in this new community. There are some questions to consider when accepting a position with the same title in a new environment. What are my duties? What are my boundaries? What will become of me if the owners don't approve of my methods? What if the smaller number of NA players gets dissolved into this larger European one? Would they lose their voice to give light to things that can be improved, added, or removed? Which brings me to my final point, which I believe to be most important.
- OOC player cultural differences between NA and EU players. Some people tend to overlook this and think this to be nothing more than a myth. It isn't. As much as you would like to deny it or sweep it under the rug, there are noticeable differences in playing styles between the two. There is nothing wrong with this at all, for we were raised in different geographic regions with different ideals, moral values, education, etc. However the possibility of such differences clashing must not be forgotten.
Before making a formal decision, take all of these points into consideration and weigh the good with the bad to see which appears to be more prevalent.

I would like to add to the list of cons that a yes decision would probably split our community even further because the no voters would not play on the new server. The other option keeps the community intact. it seems as if my propoganda run has worked

Sounds too good to be true, and i doubt it will be, especially with new players that CANNOT RP. Ik this sounds rude, but if possible, find another coder to help us with all the stuff we want in NA.

You can look at the time something was posted at the top of the post, that way you don't post on stuff like this that is already dead.

Looking at the server we are doomed either way. We either, A:we become a troll server as the RP dies out. or B:we join EU and get rekt by all the EU players with their superior ping. I feel as if there is an end in sight no matter what.

So either A)We are doomed as NA or B) WE are doomed as EU. Merely by existing Pike has divided the VERY small player base. The NA rp community is too small to survive this most likely. So with the highest amount of reservation possible, I say we join with Pike, if only till it is possible for a separate NA community to exist.

Pike's server may have all these fancy schmansy scripts, but usually when something's too good to be true, it is.
Here we have history, a good setting, developed roleplay, and very good potential.

No no no no no no Pike has tried to make 4 pw hcrp servers in the past and they all failed. The Eu rp community is cancer and I refuse to deal with them again without the ping I require for beast mode. 100 ping is horrendous and the euros will take complete advantage of it always pressing tab to find nas to pick fights with Everybody who voted yes has zero experience with Pike and his past servers so it seems like a good idea but please trust me it isn't, I have been on all of pikes european rp servers in the past year, the last one having a solid 10 people the first day until Pike got koed abused admin to save himself from a CK and the server never had people after i thought we had a good thing going here waiting for me to come back from vacation, please dont sell out to pikes Europeans! 100% agree. He may be a great scripter but...
